IGD's Employability Programme

To help teachers and careers advisors provide meaningful interactions with professionals and prepare students for work, IGD provide virtual programmes for Secondary Schools, Colleges and Universities.

Our programmes:

  • help students develop their employability skills and understand how these skills are used within the world of work
  • Increase students understanding of the variety of roles within the industry; for example, science, technology, engineering and maths-based roles

Anyone can register students to attend our one-hour employability workshops or one-week work experiences (both delivered virtually). Taking part is free of charge.

For further details, please email the booking team at [email protected].

According to our research, workplace skills are now more important than exam results in the post-Covid jobs market as 74% of teachers say employability skills are now the most important way to improve pupils' careers prospects.

Therefore, initiatives like IGD's Feeding Britain's Future are vitally important to connect young people with professionals and provide training in essential workplace skills and will significantly enhance their prospects in an incredibly tough jobs market.
